  • Overview

     

    HBSS is the Defense Information Systems Agency’s (DISA) standard for host-based security. Module baseline standards are published by NETCOM to conform to DISA and the United States Cyber Command’s (USCYBERCOM) guidance.

    Responsibilities

     

    *Shall complete HBSS engineering and administration involving the roll-out, installation and configuration of McAfee HBSS and other security software in the McAfee security applications family.

    *Shall maintain HBSS IAW DISA and CYBERCOM standards as evaluated by COR, Command Cyber Readiness Inspections, Cyber Protection Teams, and other government oversight organizations.  This shall include troubleshooting highly complex McAfee HBSS solutions across the appropriate engineering environments in accordance with United States Central Command (CENTCOM) guidance.

    *Shall provide HBSS engineering support to ensure that the HBSS environment provides sustained performance functionality.

    *Shall provide escalate-able HBSS engineering support to customers by investigating and resolving highly complex, systems-related matters of significance.

    *Shall develop a process/technical solution to remediate any broken HBSS clients.  This support shall be provided telephonically and/or electronically, with coordination tracked using the Remedy ticketing system.

    Qualifications

     

    *Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance

    *Candidate shall maintain DoD 8570.01-M compliance for IAT Level III and possess a computing environment certificate for HBSS. 

    *Personnel shall have a minimum of four (4) to five (5) years of experience with HBSS.
