The BlackCore Network is the primary transport for all data in theater; information flows via a multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) packet switched network. All network services and classifications are aggregated over a single infrastructure while incorporating quality of service (QoS) and MPLS traffic engineering (MPLS-TE). The BlackCore network also supports US coalition partners, US government agencies, and special systems. The BlackCore network supports the distribution of US government procured commercial internet for official use.
*Shall provide 24/7 IP/MPLS network engineering support for the design, configuration, implementation, operational management, and troubleshooting of the BlackCore network.
*Shall have knowledge of and proficiency in key Service Provider technologies and protocols such as DiffServ TE, VPLS. Layer 2 VPN, Layer 3 VPN, MP-BGP, EIGRP, IS-IS, MPLS/LDP, Inter-AS option B, Packet over SONET, IPSec, CSC, Internet Overlay VPNs, Remote Access VPNs, redistribution and Service Provider Quality of Service (QoS).
*The contractor will be expected to maintain Cisco ACS and RSA SecureID servers along with Symmetricom and Microsemi NTP servers.
*The contractor shall maintain network diagrams using Microsoft Visio; updates shall be made within seven (7) days of network changes.
*The contractor shall maintain compliance of network device software versions and configuration in accordance with DISA STIG policy; devices must be compliant within a 30-day notification of policy updates.
*Shall begin troubleshooting network problems within one (1) hour of notification; resolve problems within six (6) hours unless contingent on an upstream service provider.
*Must possess an active DoD Top Secret/SCI Clearance
*Candidate shall meet IAT level III compliance per DOD 8570.
*Contractor shall possess at least three (3) years of experience with Enterprise level routing.
*Contractor shall possess at least one (1) year of experience with Service Provider level routing.
