  • Overview

    Supports and maintains knowledge management operations for USFOR-A. Deploys, sustains, and manages data, information, and knowledge-sharing services in an expeditionary environment, including planning, coordinating, sharing, and controlling an organization's data and information assets. Manages technologies to capture, organize, and store tacit (personal know-how) and explicit (recorded) knowledge. Manages process of planning, coordinating, managing, sharing, and controlling organization's data assets. Updates or uses data vocabularies and metadata catalog, enabling data to be accessed, tagged, and searched regardless of physical location, media, source, owner, or other defining characteristics. Categorizes and specifies how to represent objects, concepts, and other entities based on relevance and application to support specific organizational objectives. Structures data and information for a specific purpose in a specific context for collaborative groups of users who must exchange information in pursuit of their shared goals, interests, missions or business processes. Manages databases for the storage, modification, and retrieval of information to produce reports, answer queries, and record transactions. Uses or assists users with using authoritative data sources, data services, and presentation layer to deliver information to support processes. Operates information systems to create, collect, process, disseminate, use, store, protect, and dispose of information. Develops, provides, and educates users on workflow capabilities and tools to comply with structured electronic processes and flexibility to create/develop ad hoc courses of actions. Serves as consultant/liaison for overall data, information, and knowledge planning and integration; identifies and analyzes data, information, and knowledge requirements to facilitate delivery of decision-quality information to commanders. Uses and manages technologies to capture, organize, and store activities/experiences, leveraging collaborative knowledge across disparate organizations. Promotes interaction among two or more individuals encompassing a variety of behaviors, including communication, information sharing, coordination, cooperation, problem-solving, and negotiation. Assesses, develops and manages desktop common-operating pictures/dashboards.

    Responsibilities

    *Shall install, operate, and maintain SharePoint, Adobe Connect System, Customer Relations Manager (CRM), and the Task Management Tool (TMT) (or others as upgraded or determined by USFOR-A).

    *Shall troubleshoot capability problems down to the packet level and determine if all pertinent protocols are traversing the network as intended.

    *Shall be responsible for the development, planning, design, testing, implementation, upgrade, and management of internal and external SharePoint sites (includes 2013 and future upgrades) supporting USFOR-A and its partners.

    *Functions shall include: determining overall website design and structure, monitoring web site functionality, security, and integrity, troubleshooting and resolving problems, reviewing, testing, collecting and analyzing website statistics, evaluating new web applications and providing technical advice to web content providers.  

    *Shall analyze USFOR-A's information architecture, understand FOB, Directorate, CSTC-A and Resolute Support organizational requirements, to configure and maintain organizational taxonomies, site collections, policies, procedures, and solutions.

    *Shall work to install, debug, and maintain necessary code of assigned software.

    *Shall stay current with present trends and activities.

    *Shall collect long-term (7-10 year) and permanent joint records on a quarterly basis.

    *Shall support collection of other record types and other time intervals if requested by USFOR-A J6.

    *Shall organize collected data as requested by USFOR-A J6.

    *Shall provide training about records management at all levels to ensure records are organized according to higher level guidance.

    *Shall perform physical resolution of user issues, as required.

    *Shall execute day-to-day support/maintenance activities on the servers and services.

    *Coordinates with appropriate agency to ensure backups and monitoring is being accomplished.

     *Shall assist USFOR-A J6 personnel in identifying new processes for automating the records management functions/collections within the CJOA-A.

    *Shall ensure SharePoint sites and File Systems are compliant with Knowledge and Records Management Directives.

    *Shall have strong communication, customer service, troubleshooting, and organizational skills and the ability to complete assigned work with minimal instruction and supervision.

    *Shall coordinate, document, test, validate, and deploy new technology, as required.

    *Shall provide physical server support as required.

    *Shall maintain SharePoint server, adobe connect server, CRM server and TMT application IAW DISA and other government standards. 

    *When appropriate and approved by government, shall upgrade both hardware and software of same servers.

    Qualifications

    • Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance
    • Candidate shall possess at least two (2) years of SharePoint 2013 admin experience and three (3) years Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 experience. 
    • Candidate shall demonstrate expert knowledge of SharePoint Architecture and functionality and a working knowledge of related technologies such as: Windows Server administration, Windows Architecture, SQL Server 20xx, Internet Information Server, Active Directory, Secure Socket Layer (SSL), Kerberos, ISA and Microsoft Office desktop application integration with SharePoint. 
    • Candidate shall demonstrate a working knowledge with workflow, InfoPath and the most current supported product capable of integration with other technologies.
    • Candidate shall achieve and maintain the appropriate IAT level certification to perform required duties in accordance with required DoD instructions. 
    • Candidate shall meet IAT level II compliance per DOD 8570.
