    The position shall be responsible for quality assurance related to the design and management of the computer network. The Contractor shall be responsible for design and management of the computer network. The Contractor shall provide Network Engineering personnel who shall support SATCOM architectures.


    • *Shall perform network design and evaluation, circuit planning, and network operations support to ensure the availability of a    network.
    • *Shall function as a key support to Army Communications Staff organizations tasked to manage the network.
    • *Shall provide critical RF and IP network engineering knowledge of all connectivity into and out of a theater, to include, reach back connectivity to Regional Hub Nodes and redistribution of services (RF, IP, and Fiber) within the theater.
    • *Shall provide in theater capabilities that are required to ensure that not only Voice over the SIPR (VOSIP), but all service connectivity is maintained.
    • *Shall provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve network outages.
    • *Shall provide quality assurance of installation to terminals and oversee all testing for validation of terminal for operations.
    • *Shall provide oversight of the satellite transmission plans, bandwidth usage and optimization, and IP network configurations    as necessary to ensure the best possible service to the end customer.
    • *Shall provide other key facets of on-site technical support to include conducting systems testing (e.g. Noise Figure Measurements, Phase Noise), technical guidance, network setup with routers, switches, and IP accelerators, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), VoIP switched infrastructure, Call Manager configuration, system troubleshooting, establishing efficient procedures to resolve trouble tickets, and coordinating the deployment of software release and equipment training.  Tasks may also include installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the RF/satellite, IP network, and fiber distribution systems.
    • *Perform other duties as assigned.


    • *US Citizenship is required
    • *Candidate must possess, or be eligible for a TS/SCI Clearance
    • *A Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR; An Associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; 11 years of recent specialized experience.
    • *4 years of progressively complex experience in computer simulation, client-server architectures, advanced networking techniques and protocols, data bases (flat-file, relational, and object-oriented), high-order programming languages, and operating systems (e.g., UNIX/ULTRIX, HP-UX, SUN-OS, VAX/VMS, Harris VOS). 
    • *In addition, must have two (2) years’ experience in design and development of advanced networking techniques and protocols, data base management systems, and programming in high order languages (e.g., C, C++, ADA, FORTRAN).
