  • Overview

    DataPath, Inc., a Managed Service and Security Provider (MSSP), is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst Co-op to join our team. The Cyber Security Analyst Co-op participates on a small team to manage information security solutions, processes and policy.

    Threats to mission-critical networks are everywhere. When even a common virus can cause major damage impacting productivity, privacy, and shareholder value, robust cybersecurity is imperative. But businesses often do not have the staff or resources to stay abreast of the complexities of cybersecurity. Customers can rely on DataPath to provide expert cybersecurity solutions that are easy to understand. We leverage a twenty-five-year track record of securing U.S. Department of Defense critical infrastructure and seasoned, certified cyber professionals to proactively identify and respond to network vulnerabilities. Our customers include defense, government, and small- to medium-sized enterprises who maintain high-value digital assets and would suffer significant reputational and financial damage if breached.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform daily security operations to monitor the environment.
    • Develop and maintain documentation for security systems and operations.
    • Perform system security administration on designated technology platforms, including operating systems, applications and security systems.
    • Research, recommend, evaluate and implement information security solutions that identify and/or protect against potential threats, and respond to security violations.
    • Participate in infrastructure projects to develop, plan and implement specifications for network and distributed security technologies.
    • Regular and reliable attendance in the office is required.
    • This position requires work to be performed on-site at our corporate office and does not provide for working from home offices.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
    • Full-time student pursuing an associates or bachelor's degree in information technology, information security or other similarly related field.
    • Knowledge of basic concepts in networking, software development or information technology systems with some hands-on experience preferred.
    • Interest in information security.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
    • Experience with Linux
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on building customer rapport and listening.
