    Summary/Objective

    DataPath, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Account Executive to help build and grow our Americas business. This position requires strong experience in identifying and closing new business with prime contractors, end users and understanding procurement process. We’re seeking an experienced leader with proven business sense, team effort, strong understanding of sales, marketing, customer support, strategy, and ethics, particularly in the Satellite Communications global market.  You must thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere and communicate well in a team environment.

     

    **This Role can be remote, with the expectations that travel is apx 50% and this new employee must be able to reach a large airport easily.**

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions

    • Lead Strategist, Market development, qualification, customer relationship development for Canada, US and South America.
    • Develop Sales opportunities to Orders
    • Key spokesperson to external customers
    • Foster key relationship between internal team and execution to ensure customer satisfaction
    • Provide input on IR&D initiatives to position company for future and changing markets
    • Work with Marketing to develop Price to Win targets and product pricing
    • Understand DOD procurement environment
    • Work across multi-functional team to ensure accurate and up to date Sales forecasts
    • Identify business growth opportunities through strong customer relationships

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    • Prior US Secret or above security clearance preferred.
    • Bachelor’s degree in technical or business field.
    • 10+ years’ sales experience in the Satellite Communication Industry-Required
    • Proven track record of capturing major DOD programs and working with large prime contractors
    • Ability to travel as required to accomplish company’s sales objectives
    • Must have an active passport and be able to travel internationally.
    • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident with the ability to get a US Security Clearance if needed.

     

    Competencies

    • Strong prospecting, negotiation and contract closing skills.
    • Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills.
    • Ability to contribute in strategy setting sessions and budget decisions
    • Responsible for both revenue and contribution margin targets.
