    Description:

    DataPaths' MaxView Enterprise Network Management System is a powerful solution that enables our customers to see the state of their entire network, control multi-vendor devices, automate complex service tasks and unify disparate systems into one view. 

    We are looking for qualified, computer science/engineering co-op candidates to join our software teams in support of the development and integration of our MaxView software. A typical co-op will rotate through our SW teams to get exposure to multiple tools, languages, and frameworks (including Java, Hibernate, HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, OSGI/Knopflerfish, AngularJS, JQuery, Python, Spring, Distributed Services Architecture (DSA) and DSLink, Maven, Eclipse, Netbeans, Tomcat/TomEE and more) - don't worry - you'll learn them as you go.

    Our goal is to find candidates and share in the mutual benefits of growing co-ops into well-trained, well-prepared engineers. We have a great track record of transitioning co-ops into full-time employees after graduation.

    Responsibilities

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Work alongside our software team to assist with internal and external development and integration projects.
    • Create script-based drivers to interface MaxView with customer hardware.
    • Create UI web pages.
    • Assist with programming tasks directly on the MaxView product.
    • Execute software testing to validate core product enhancements.

    Qualifications

    Require Skill Set:

    The most successful co-ops will have a strong passion for software development, be critical thinkers, and possess a desire to learn in a fast-paced, team environment. Some experience with software development is required.

    Typically students will have completed at least one year of study and some of their majors' introductory courses.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • US Citizenship is required.
    • Basic software programming skills required.

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, TCL, Groovy, and Web development using HTML 5 and CSS a plus.
    • Self-starter willing to take on projects with minimal guidance.
    • Possess an outgoing personality and a team-first attitude.
    • Courage to independently seek out solutions to challenges.
    • Willingness to call attention to issues as they arise.
    • Above-average interpersonal and communication skills.
