    Summary

    The Contractor shall provide functions to support IT project management activities at unit level.  This involves overseeing all aspects of the project, leading a team on large projects or a significant segment of large and complex projects.  The position shall also manage risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information or data and the systems and processes used for those purposes. 

    Responsibilities

    • *    The Contractor shall provide functions to support IT project management activities at unit level, this involves overseeing all aspects of the project, leading a team on large projects or a significant segment of large and complex projects. 
    • *     Analyze new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management of the project.
    • *     Provide applications systems analysis and long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities for necessary support resources.
    • *     IT project management functions involve the following:
    •  Receive operational guidance from unit Leadership and manages all project and task requirements accordingly.
    •  Provide advice to unit leadership on engineering efforts and provide technical recommendations for current projects or initiatives being considered.
    •  Apply Project Management best practices in the synchronization and coordination of the development and execution of all requirements, ensuring engineering projects are completed in a timely manner with quality results.
    •  Operate in environment that has requirements in frequent political-level customer engagement in a Combined Joint-Operational Military environment.
    •  Ensure all Contractor personnel receive proper training, care, and access to the tools, equipment, and materials necessary to complete project and task requirements.
    •  Provide accurate and timely reporting to key leaders and stakeholders to include consolidating the Weekly Status Report and reviewing the Projects Tracker for accuracy.

    Qualifications

    •     Must have a secret clearance
    •     Must have a passport
    •     Bachelor’s degree (degree in Computer Science/Management preferred) In lieu of degree 15 years of related skills and experience is required.
    •     Shall have knowledge of all the computer based tools for project management.
    •     Have knowledge and experience providing applications systems analysis and long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities for necessary support resources.
    •     Must have project management experience.
    •     Twelve (12) years of progressive experience in design and development.
    •     Five (5) years management and supervision of substantive military hardware/software development. 
    •     Must have knowledge of how to Analyze new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management of the project.
    •     Five (5) years systems analysis.
    •     PMP Certification strongly preferred
