    Summary/Objective

    This individual should have knowledge of DataPath satellite communications products and their application in the field.  The individual will provide coordination and liaison between the customer and DataPath engineering and field services, to ensure that customer funded projects are accomplished as efficiently and timely as possible.  The Team Lead role will include field services scheduling and technical leadership to the Field Services Team (Tiger Team). This role may also provide a Project Engineering interface, requiring frequent liaison with the customer engineering and technical staff to establish scope of the project, personnel required and schedule.  The Team Lead will work with Field Service management to ensure that the team is properly staffed, trained and equipped to perform the required work.  The Team Lead will provide regular updates on the status of funded projects to the customer program office, customer field representatives and DataPath management. 

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions

    • Provide guidance to field service team as needed to ensure that the team is following best practices and procedures for the field work.
    • Perform as liaison between customer technical representatives, DataPath Program Office and the field engineering team on project scope, schedule and performance.
    • Provide advice to customer on engineering efforts and provide technical recommendations for current projects and project initiatives being considered.
    • Apply Project Management principles in the synchronization and coordination of the development and execution of all requirements.
    • Provide recommendations to management on proper training, tools, equipment, and materials necessary to complete project and task requirements.
    • Provide accurate and timely reporting to Customers, key leaders and stakeholders, and DataPath management.
    • Liaison between Government representatives, FSRs and DataPath management.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • US DOD Secret Clearance required,
    • Minimum 10 years of knowledge of SATCOM systems, including troubleshooting and resolution of complex problems, field retrofits,
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a military environment.
    • Must possess excellent communication skills, verbal and written,
    • Knowledge and understanding of all the computer based tools for project management.
    • Knowledge of government contract structure and execution.
    • Knowledge of SATCOM networks and terminals. 
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and communicate technical information clearly, verbally and in writing.
    • Good technical communication skills with an ability to develop documentation such as Field Service Bulletins and other technical documents.

    Supervisory Responsibility 

    • Individual will perform as a team leader, providing leadership of team members during deployment and on assignment to ensure work is accomplished.

    Travel

    • Occasional CONUS travel may be required.
