    Senior Information Security Engineer

    DataPath, Inc., a Managed Service and Security Provider (MSSP), is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to support emerging and existing programs serving commercial customers in defining, architecting and implementing systems protection solutions and requirements.


    Secures enterprise information by determining security requirements; planning, implementing, and testing security systems; preparing security standards, policies, and procedures; mentoring team members.



    • Enhances security team accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teaching improved processes; mentoring team members.
    • Develop, implement and monitor information security and IT risk management program(s)
    • Work directly with customers to facilitate risk assessment and risk management processes
    • Develop and enhance an information security management framework
    • Understand and interact with related disciplines through committees and/or key personnel to ensure the consistent application of policies and standards across all technology projects, systems and services
    • Create and provide leadership to the information security organization
    • Coordinate with external auditors to insure continued compliance with ISO, NIST, PCI, HIPPA, SOC2, and other audit standard relevant to the organization.
    • Work with Sales Engineers, Client Managers and others internal teams to respond to client and prospective client questions and concerns, interacting directly with clients when appropriate.
    • Partner with business stakeholders across the company to raise awareness of risk management concerns
    • Assist with the overall business technology planning, providing a current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems
    • Supports and drives the security strategy within the business, directs projects towards desired security strategic goals and provides business solution design input to Information security project prioritization
    • Establishes clear priorities for successful fulfillment of information security related projects for the business based on goals, costs, benefits, and alignment with long-term strategies and resources
    • Identifies opportunities and long-range security and risk improvement strategies within the business and reports on progress for mutual success
    • Facilitates engagement to identify projects that enable business development while ensuring the necessary security controls are in place
    • Stays abreast of industry trends in the business and information security and keeps leadership informed about information security-related issues and activities affecting the organization
    • Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues; preparing cost estimates.
    • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
    • Remain flexible with shift and task assignments
    • Other duties as assigned



    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
    • Industry recognized professional certification
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a combination of risk management, information security and IT jobs with demonstrated increase in responsibilities
    • Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, and NIST.
    • Knowledge and experience with PCI-DSS, and SOC2 principles
    • Experience coordinating audits with external parties to meet PCI, SOC, or other compliance requirements.
    • Experience working with information and network security practices, software, and hardware.
    • Experience working with operating systems.
    • Experience working with security architecture.
    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills for resolving security issues.
    • Organization skills to balance and prioritize work.
    • Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.
    • Strong troubleshooting, reasoning and problem-solving skills
    • Team player with the ability to work autonomously
    • Excellent communication skills


    Preferred Requirements:

    • Industry recognized professional certification such as CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, Security+
